Banks Anderson LMBT #20381

My bodywork sessions are a threshold into reuniting with the core self. In that return lies the foundation of the potential in a human experience. The current story of my life has brought me into a compassionate understanding of the suffering we all experience in our own lives. My commitment to service and holding a container for others to thrive remains at the center of my focus. This includes my newly born daughter, two step children, and partner. Becoming a father has been one of the greatest gifts AND an incredible realization of how important it is to rest and restore in order to truly become who we wish to be.

My work in facilitating men’s groups for many years (find out more about that work here) to support them in greater emotional awareness, connection, and strengthening their dedication to their life path has taught me so much about the power of listening, down to the very subtleties of the nervous system and body language. That in collaboration with my commitment to my own self care practices help me offer a highly attuned listening awareness and trust in your intuition to guide me during our session. I highly value listening as a practice and believe it is so much more than what comes through our ears. Massage is a way I can be of service and tend to this practice I so love. I seek to explore every session as a way of each client remembering their true nature and coming home to who they really are.

I am a graduate of the Western North Carolina School of Massage and have studied Deep Tissue, Swedish, Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Release, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation Stretching and Trigger Point Therapy to address dysfunction, injury and chronic pain.
